Indore: Number of flights from city goes up to 120

Indore: Indoreans will get 10 more new flights, two new destinations and a new airliner from this summer. With this total number of flights from the city will go up to 120. Talking to Free Press, Aryama Sanyal, Director of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, said that in the summer schedule, the city would get services of a new airliner, Vistara, which is promoted by a joint venture of Tata Group.

Vistara will operate four flights between Indore and New Delhi, two each in morning and evening. Besides Vistara, Jet Airways will also start flights for Udaipur and Rajkot in the summer schedule. At present, Jaipur and Jodhpur are connected to the city. Udaipur is the third city from Rajasthan which will be connected soon.

Similarly, Rajkot will be the third city of Gujarat after Ahmedabad and Baroda to have direct connection with Indore. Now, the number of destinations connected to the city will go up to 19. Number of air carriers carrying out operation in the city will go up to 6 after Vistara.
