Three IndiGo flights resume operations at Patna airport

Patna: Three IndiGo flights resumed operations from Jayapraksh Narayan International Airport on Saturday following improvement in weather.

Operations of the three flights had been suspended for two months under the winter schedule of IndiGo airline. One more IndiGo flight is slated to resume operations from March 2.

The flight which resumed operations on Saturday included Delhi-Patna-Delhi (6E 6367), Bengaluru-Kolkata-Patna-Lucknow (6E 339) and Lucknow-Patna-Kolkata-Goa (6E 634).

IndiGo’s 6E 6367 flight reached Patna airport at 8.55am on Saturday and left for Delhi at 10.45am. Flight 6E 339 landed here at 10.12am and departed for Lucknow at 11.15am and 6E 634 arrived here at 9.23am and left for Kolkata at 9.50am.

With this, the number of flights of IndiGo operating from the city airport has increased from 12 to 15. IndiGo’s 6E 441 Patna-Varanasi flight, which will resume operations from March 2, will depart from here at 7.40am.

According to Patna airport officials, the flights from Patna and other routes are now operating as per their scheduled timing due to improved visibility.
Patna airport director Rajender Singh Lahauria said few more flights would resume operations from March. “The summer schedule of flight operations will be released in March. The airlines have filed application for summer schedule with the director general of civil aviation (DGCA),” Lahauria told this newspaper.
