Drones to monitor Kempegowda International Airport construction projects

Bengaluru: Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) will soon use drones for aerial site photography to monitor the progress of ongoing construction projects.
The drones will take aerial photographs of the New South Parallel Runway (NSPR) project area (624 acres), the new terminal (T2) and apron project
area (166 acres) and the forecourt project area (128 acres). The aerial monitoring will be done on a fortnightly basis. Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL), operator of KIA, has already issued tenders for the project.
