Flights to India to cost more from March?

Your trips to India could cost you more as air tickets are bound to get costlier from March.

Prices of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) or jet fuel will be increased by 10 per cent in March, making flying costlier, industry observers told The Times of India.

What will also make the flights expensive is the wedding season. With destination weddings mostly lined up for February and March, the flights are fully booked. The huge demand will also, in turn, increase flight prices.

Sanjay Kumar, an industry veteran, took to Twitter to share his views. "ATF prices are up again by 10 per cent effective midnight today. Not good for already struggling industry," he posted.
