Gagan Malik replaces Negi as Dabolim airport director

Gagan Malik has taken over as new director of Dabolim international airport replacing Bhupesh Chand Hans Negi.
Malik had joined the erstwhile National Airports Authority of India in the year 1989 as a civil engineer. During the course of his career, he has attained a deep insight into different facets of airport functioning and management. He has a deep knowledge of pavement works (asphaltic and concrete), construction of terminal buildings in glass and steel besides integration of different facilities required for passengers’ facilitation. He has been associated with initial planning of Pakyong airport at Sikkim and heliports in Himachal Pradesh.

Highly work-oriented and effective team leader, Malik has done major projects and upgradation works at India’s major airports including in Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Amritsar and till recently was positioned at Goa airport for parallel taxi track project and terminal building modifications.

Since beginning he has been involved with land management, commercial airport operations, security functions at different airports and has also functioned as airport director at Amritsar airport. He has a vision for modern airport concept for operations, whereby, the passengers feel and enjoy their transition through airport with least of difficulties.

Malik holds a bachelors degree in civil engineering. He is a certified International Airport Professional from Airports Council International Canada. He has acquired the practical knowledge of electrical engineering while executing several projects as project in-charge.
