RGIA: Three SpiceJet flights cancelled

Hyderabad: Three SpiceJet flights that were bound to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad on Wednesday were cancelled following the grounding of Boeing 737 Max by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
A majority of passengers affected due to the cancellation were accommodated on alternative flights and the rest were offered full-refund.
A statement issued by the SpiceJet said the safety and security of passengers, crew and operations was of utmost importance to it. “We are closely working with the regulator and manufacturer to resolve the matter,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the SpiceJet has, presently announced cancellation of 14 flights for today and will be operating additional flights from tomorrow.
