Swami Vivekananda’s statue to be installed at Airport

Raipur: At the request of the Airports Authority of India, National Mineral Development Corporation, at NMDC Raipur Airport, has agreed to install Swami Vivekananda’s statue. Airport Director Rakesh R Saha informed that the bronze statue will stand at 18 feet tall and the estimated cost of the statue will be around Rs 1,00,00,000.

It will take 5 to 6 months to build this statue with weight ranging between 6. 5 and 7 tons. Thickness of casting is 6 millimetres. 8 mm and 85% of copper in 5 percent tin 5 percent zinc and five per cent lead, and the best part is that it will be made by India’s renowned sculptor Ram V Sutar. He has recently made an idol of 522 feet high of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, at kevadia was recently unveiled in Gujarat Airport Director Rakesh R Saha stated that the he was grateful to the NMDC on behalf of the Airports Authority of India that it is ready to do this work immediately. He hoped that the idol will be unveiled by the end of this year.
