Thiruvananthapuram: Over 10 kg of gold worth about Rs 10 crore was seized from a contract employee at the international airport here on Tuesday.
CISF officials intercepted AC mechanic Aneesh, employed on contract basis, at the airport, when he tried to move out carrying a bag.
Though he tried to run away, the security officials caught him red-handed and handed over to custom officials.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the mechanic was acting as an 'agent of smuggling'.
