Pune: Low-cost carrier AirAsia has launched an investigation into the offloading of a woman passenger on April 14, after she allegedly argued with the cabin crew and the airline’s ground staffers in an inebriated state.
The incident occurred in the Air Asia’s Pune-Delhi plane (I5-729), scheduled to take off around 5.30am. “A woman passenger was de-boarded,” a source in the airport said.
Air Asia said in its statement that the matter was under investigation. “AirAsia India would like to confirm that we are cognisant of a situation involving a passenger being offloaded from a flight between Pune and New Delhi. The matter is currently being investigated,” the airline spokesperson said.
When contacted on Tuesday again, the spokesperson said the matter was still under investigation.
