Guwahati: Airports Authority of India (AAI) has appointed Sanjeev Jindal, former general manager – Engineering and Corporate Social Responsibility, AAI, as the new regional executive director of Northeast region.
Known for successfully completing many odd and difficult assignments, including the Leh airport in Jammu and Kashmir or greenfield projects like Kishangarh in Ajmer, Rajasthan, Jindal has an experience of over a quarter century in planning, designing and construction of airports in India.
As the first airport director of Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh, Jammu and Kashmir, he was commended by the then chairman, AAI and secretary, ministry of civil aviation, for handling natural calamity , that is, cloud burst in the year 2010.
