CISF seizes cocaine, methamphetamine at airport

Officers of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) posted at the Mumbai airport intercepted a Kolkata-bound passenger and recovered 37 grams of drugs from his possession on Wednesday morning.

The CISF profilers manning the departure area noticed that a packet wrapped in a piece of paper fell out from the baggage of Rajiv Tiwari as he was entering the terminal. Following his suspicious behaviour, the CISF personnel picked him for inquiries at 6 a.m. The personnel learnt that he was about to board the Air India flight AI-675 from Mumbai to Kolkata, which was departing at 6.10 a.m. The personnel thoroughly checked Mr. Tiwari’s bag and found three packets weighing 37 grams and containing some suspicious substance. The packets were inspected using a Narcotic Drugs Detection Kit and it turned out that a part of the contents included cocaine.
