Flights at Indore airport slump to 74 from 110

Indore: The number of flights at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport of Indore has gone down to 74 under new summer schedule.
The schedule became effective from Sunday and will continue to be in place till October 26, 2019. Earlier, 110 flights operated to and from Indore on various routes.

Only an extra flight has been introduced on Delhi-Indore route. Air Asia will operate this flight. Vistara failed to get slot to operate flight between Indore and Delhi.

Regional airline TruJet however has got permission to operate three flights on Ahmedabad-Indore route six days a week.
Airport officials said that directorate general of civil aviation has approved proposal for flights on 14 routes. This includes a new flight on Indore-Delhi route by Air Asia. Night halt permission has been given to three aircrafts including two of Jet Airways and one of Indigo.

Jet Airways’ Indore-Jodhpur and Indore-Mumbai flights remain cancelled. The airline has also not given slot for flight operations on Indore-Udaipur and Indore-Rajkot routes. As per schedule, 11 flights would operate on Indore-Delhi route, 6 flights between Indore and Mumbai, five on Indore-Hyderabad, two on Indore-Goa, seven on Indore-Bengaluru, three on Indore-Pune, three on Indore-Ahmedabad, two on Indore-Raipur, two on Indore-Allahabad and one flight on Indore-Nagpur, Indore-Kolkata, Indore-Chennai, Indore-Lucknow and Indore-Jaipur routes each.
