Passenger footfall dips at Indore airport

Indore: Passenger footfall has gone down with decline in number of flights from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport.
According to official figures, there is nearly 10 per cent decline in passengers’ footfall within a month.
Over 3.05 lakh people travelled to and from Indore airport in January this year. In February, it declined to 2.74 lakh. “The monthly footfall decreased by 30,300 passengers in February,” said officials. Airport officials said that change in weather condition and poor visibility on runways appeared to be one of the reasons behind this decline.
Officials also said that this footfall may go even further down in March with number of flights being cancelled or discontinued by airlines. Jet Airways had to discontinue number of flights for the whole month owing to operational issues.
