Passenger ‘robbed of’ baggage at airport

Jaipur: A passenger travelling from Guwahati to Jaipur on SpiceJet flight was robbed of his checked-in baggage at the airport.
After disembarking, when the passenger did not get his luggage, he informed the airlines but according to the complainant, they did not help him in finding the missing baggage. He, thereafter, filed an FIR with the local police.
The incident happened on March 30 and for next week, the passenger claimed that he kept in touch with airlines staff who assured him that his luggage would be found and returned soon. However finally, when the airlines authorities failed to do so, the complainant, Shankar Das who is from Assam filed a complaint at the Sanganer police station in Jaipur. Lakhan Singh, SHO, Sanganer police station, said, “We are investigating the matter to ascertain if the luggage was stolen or the airlines staff misplaced it. Das, in his complaint stated that the airlines staff kept telling him that his luggage will reach him in Guwahati, but nothing happened for next one week. After repeatedly writing to the airlines, when he still did not get his luggage back, the passenger lodged a complaint with us on Monday.”
