SpiceJet’s flight to Kolkata delayed by over seven hours

Pune: The Pune-Kolkata (SG275) flight of SpiceJet was delayed for the second time this week on Friday, leaving passengers stranded for over seven hours after Monday’s five-hour late take-off.
The flight was supposed to take off from Pune at 11.40am. But it flew only at 6.47pm.

Close to 12 aircraft of the low cost carrier airline are currently grounded. As a result, its flights to various destinations are getting delayed.

A passenger, who was set to take the flight to Kolkata, posted a photograph on the social media of a group of passengers confronting the airline staffers at the airport.

“They are providing lame excuses. Sometimes they say that the engine of the flight has heated and thus it cannot take off. Sometimes they are saying that the temperature in Pune is high,” he wrote.
