Ahmedabad: Two outbound flights from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport, to Jaipur and Dubai were delayed by two hours due to operational reasons. Passengers who were scheduled to take the Jaipur-bound SpiceJet flight, SG-922, from Ahmedabad at 11.30am on Tuesday, had a harrowing experience as the flight was delayed by more an hour and 50 minutes. Similarly, Dubai-bound SpiceJet flight, SG-15, also reported a delay of 2 hours and 25 minutes.
The flight which was scheduled to take off at 4.35pm on Tuesday departed at 7pm. Airline sources confirmed that there was an operational delay along the two sectors, due to the grounding of several Boeing-737 Max aircrafts. As a consequence, there is an aircraft shortage, which the airline is currently meeting through Q400 aircrafts, which is resulting in the delay.
