Chandigarh: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has approved installation of CAT-III at Chandigarh international airport. This information was submitted in the Punjab and Haryana high court during the resumed hearing of the case on Tuesday. The facility will allow night operations and encourage foreign flight operators to connect directly with the city.
The HC was also informed that the Chandigarh International Airport Limited (CHIAL) Board has also approved it and now discussions were on to finalize the terms and conditions of the contract awarded to Tata SED. The matter will come up for hearing on May 13.
