Ahmedabad: A Sunday evening flight to Bengaluru which was supposed to be a relaxed experience for passengers turned chaotic and tiring aboard Indigo Airlines flight, 6E-893. The flight which was scheduled to depart from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 5.05pm was delayed by nearly five hours because of a technical glitch in the aircraft.
“Passengers were not informed of the delay in departure of the flight in advance. The departure of the flight was delayed because of a technical glitch in the aircraft. After they boarded the flight, passengers were made to wait in the aircraft for around two hours,” said a source privy to the development.
A number of passengers took to social media to express the ordeal they underwent while aboard the flight. “Stuck in flight 6E 893 for 2 hours at Ahmedabad airport. All sorts of noises coming from aircraft. No update on what the issue is. Very worried about air worthiness of aircraft. Flight out of food and water. Can anyone help us deplane? I do not want to take this flight,” mentioned a tweet posted by a passenger named, Ankit Puri, at 7.06pm.
