Bengaluru: One hundred and seventy seven passengers, including five infants, on board a Patna-bound GoAir flight (G8 373), which left the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Tuesday at 9.20am, were stranded for hours after it was diverted to Ranchi airport due to a technical glitch.
After sourcing spare parts from New Delhi and Mumbai, the aircraft departed for its original destination at 8pm, almost eight hours after its arrival time at Patna.
“@goairlinesindia pathetic service, I was supposed to reach Patna by 12 but flight G8 373 was diverted to Ranchi. Also they don’t have a confirmation that at what exact time they will take off, I have to travel further to Muzaffarpur, don’t know how I will manage...,” tweeted Surbhi Subha, a passenger.
Following this, Patna-Bengaluru flight was rescheduled several times, causing a delay of more than eight hours, while passengers waited at Ranchi airport.
