Vasco: Niz Goenkar Revolution Front (NGRF), a citizens’ group, on Saturday lodged a complaint at the Chicalim panchayat against the alleged illegal construction of an arms depot at Assoi, Dongri.
“The arms depot and CISF barracks next to it have been proposed by the Airports Authority of India right opposite the Dabolim airport, which could pose a terror risk,” NGRF president Chandrashekar Vast said, even as he claimed that a natural spring had been buried to facilitate construction. “Huge trees have also been cut without any permissions,” he added.
