IndiGo starts new flight to Mumbai

Bhopal: Campaign for better air connectivity from Bhopal by activists and efforts of airport authority has started paying dividends. From Bhopal, now six flights connect the commercial capital of India--Mumbai, daily.
From Sunday, IndiGo launched a new flight connecting Bhopal to Mumbai. IndiGo will start 2 new flights for Delhi in May. Bookings have been started for both flights. These flights will start on May 10 and May 25.

Interestingly, all the flights connecting Mumbai are full. The inaugural flight 6E 5301 (IndiGo) reached Bhopal with 173 passengers onboard. From Bhopal, IndiGo flight 6E 5302 took 162 passengers to Mumbai. Bhopal airport director Anil Vikram shared the number of flights connecting Mumbai with Bhopal on social media. He felt that such improved connectivity is a good sign for the state capital.

From Bhopal, three airlines namely —Air India, IndiGo and SpiceJet —- are providing their services. IndiGo operates three flights from Bhopal while Air India operates two flights. SpiceJet operates one flight.
Buoyed by the response, flyers said this is encouraging .
