Jewar Airport: Government approves tender document for international airport construction in Greater Noida

Jewar Airport finally seems to have reached the phase where the international aviation airport construction project can take-off. The government of India has finally cleared the road map that would be implemented to construct the international airport in Greater Noida. In fact, the tender document has also been approved subject to some terms and condition. Now, these things would be tabled into the Project Monitoring and Implementation committee (PMCI). Once, it is cleared by the PMIC, the global tenders would be issued and within six months of the tender issuance, agency for Jewar Airport construction would be finalised.

In fact, the bid document for the Jewar Airport has also been made and approved by the civil aviation ministry on May 6th. Earlier, the bid document was sent to the Niti Aayog and the ministry of finance. They recommended some points that the Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) added after pondering over the suggestions made by the Niti Aayog and the ministry of finance. Later on in Lucknow on April 23rd, PMCI approved the tender document in its meeting and send it to the center that approved the send the tender document on May 6th and paved the way for tender issuance.
