Three more flights from city airport by next week

Patna: The number of flights operating from Jayaprakash Narayan International (JPNI) Airport here increased to 42 with the addition of a daily flight between Patna and Delhi on Saturday.
IndiGo flight (6E-2039/2041) on Delhi-Patna-Delhi route landed here at 8.30pm on Saturday and took off for Delhi at 9pm.

The number of flights operating from Patna may further go up to 45 as three more flights would be added in the summer schedule of various airlines by next week. With this, IndiGo will operate 19 flights from the city airport, SpiceJet 12, GoAir 11 and Air India three.

SpiceJet has announced introduction of two new flights connecting Patna. The IndiGo will start operation one more flight to Delhi from May 28. The new flights will operate on all days.

SpiceJet station manager in Patna Syed Hasan confirmed the introduction of new flights. “Kolkata-Patna-Mumbai-Patna-Kolkata flight (SG-6425/6426) of SpiceJet will land here at 7.10am on May 30 and depart for Mumbai at 7.40am. The same flight will return to Patna at 7.10pm and leave for Kolkata at 7.40pm,” he said.
