Two men caught with over 3 kg gold at Hyderabad airport; had smuggled it in their rectum

Hyderabad: Authorities at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad have arrested two persons for allegedly smuggling over three kilograms of gold worth Rs 1 crore on Thursday. According to customs officials, the accused hid the white metal in their rectum.

The two passengers who arrived in the city from Dubai were intercepted by officials and upon their checking found the gold in paste form from their rectum. According to a report in PTI, The two passengers were booked and were questioned by the officials. There has been a spurt in cases of  gold smuggling to India from UAE and other gulf countries.
