Visakhapatnam: Alliance Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Air India, had been operating one of its flights on the Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada-Tirupati sector. However, the airlines has proposed to withdraw its flight from Visakhapatnam, effective from July 16, 2019.
Alliance Air was operating its afternoon daily flight from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada and Tirupati. Members of the Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association (APATA) have said that the reasons for the withdrawal of the flight is not known.
As per sources, Alliance Air will be changing its base ATR72 aircraft to Hyderabad and will be operating to other sectors from Hyderabad. A mail sent by Alliance Air read, “All concerned are requested to make necessary arrangements for shifting their resources and giving sufficient notice to the service providers at Visakhapatnam.”
