Cyclone Vayu: AAI to open 5 Gujarat airports by Friday 10am

New Delhi: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has decided to reopen its airports at Kandla and Keshod from Thursday-Friday midnight followed by Bhavnagar at 6am and then Diu and Porbandar from 10am on Friday.
The state-run airport operator took this decision after reviewing the status of its airports in Gujarat due to cyclonic storm Vayu and taking into consideration Met reports.
“All airport directors in Gujarat have been advised to keep all stakeholders including airlines, disaster relief agencies, Indian Air Force, Coast Guard and local administration informed about the resumption of flights and normal operations of the airports. Airports have also been advised to give priority to relief and search and rescue flights, if and when required,” an AAI spokesperson said.
