Indigo staffer stalked by trio, case booked

Hyderabad: An employee of Indigo Airlines heading back to her Shamshabad home after work was stalked, teased and harassed by three unidentified persons in the late hours of Friday. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) police registered a stalking case and launched a manhunt to nab the accused, who are at large.
Rumours were doing the rounds that the accused trio had even hurled liquor on the victim which, however, was denied by the RGIA cops. The victim works in the passenger service managing wing of the private airliner.
It was around 11.30 pm when the 25-year-old employee boarded a cab at RGIA to reach her residence. “Instead of getting down near her residence, she chose to disembark some distance away from her house. The incident took place when she was walking alone in the by-lane leading to her house,’’ RGIA inspector G Vijay Bhaskar Reddy told STOI. The victim’s residence was some meters away when the stalkers trailed her.
The three youngsters on a motorbike followed her and kept teasing her even as she was walking. At one point of time, the woman raised an alarm and the miscreants sped away from the spot. It is learnt that the woman yelled at them after they threw liquor, but police vehemently denied it.
After the accused trio fled away, the victim immediately called her friend. Along with her, she went to RGIA police station and lodged a complaint late in the night. Police said the woman travelled in the aggregator cab, which she booked herself after work hours.
