Officials visit Kangra airport for extension plans

Dharamshala: A team of top officials of the state government on Tuesday reviewed land arrangements for the extension of Kangra airport. At present, the airport can handle landing of small planes, up to 80 seated, only and the authorities plan extension to facilitate flight of airbuses here.
Tourism and civil aviation additional chief secretary Ram Subhag Singh and a team of officials toured airport to check the available land for extension of the airport. “We are looking for about 30 hectares of land, only then an airbus of 180 seating capacity can land here,” said Kangra deputy commissioner Rakesh Kumar Prajapati.
