Patna: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has decided to reduce the vehicle parking rate at Jayaprakash Narayan International (JPNI) Airport Patna up to 50%. No fee will be charged for pickup and drop under the revised policy of vehicle parking system. The 10-minute free parking time has also been abolished. The new provisions will be implemented in two to three weeks.
Free parking time in front of the terminal building will be reduced to 3 minutes from 10 minutes at present. Different rates have been prescribed for parking of different categories of vehicles.
According to the revised parking rates, buses will have to pay Rs30 for 30 minutes and Rs70 up to two hours and additional Rs10 for per hour. For three-wheelers and four-wheelers, the charges are Rs20 for 30 minutes. It will be Rs10 for two-wheelers.
