When Goa CM Pramod Sawant ‘offered’ midnight meal to delayed Air India flight passengers

Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant won hearts when he directed authorities to offer free meals to passengers stranded at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport late Thursday night for several hours.

The passengers of the Air India Mumbai-Goa flight began shouting slogans in the airport premises last night when their flight got delayed for four hours. The flight, which was scheduled to leave at 9.30 pm, got delayed and reached Goa at around 3.30 am.

The passengers of the Air India Mumbai-Goa flight began shouting slogans in the airport premises last night when their flight got delayed for four hours. The flight, which was scheduled to leave at 9.30 pm, got delayed and reached Goa at around 3.30 am.
"I tried calling Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant who answered my phone within two rings at 1.13 am. He called me back five times, arranged food for all passengers at Indian Kebab Grill, and exactly at 1.27 am, he told me that the flight was ready to take-off in 30 minutes. We finally reached Goa at around 3.30 am," Bhatikar told news agency IANS.
