Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is planning to set up a kiosk inside the Visakhapatnam Airport to attract fliers to take the metro express bus that plies between Visakhapatnam to RTC Complex in Dwarka Nagar.
The Visakhapatnam to RTC Complex metro express bus service was initiated following a request from the Tours and Travels Association of Andhra Pradesh. The APSRTC had introduced the service on December 14, 2016.
On June 6, TOI had published an article on how the bus service is hardly being used by passengers, with one or two passengers on board.
According to sources, one of the reasons why the service not attracting commuters is because it lacks publicity. Fliers are hardly aware that such a service is available.
