Vasco: On a tipoff, Air Customs officials seized gold jewellery from three female foreigners from Tajikistan who allegedly concealed it in innerwear, hand baggage and purse.
In a press note issued here, the Air Customs said that a team of its officials headed by Dr Raghvendra P, IRS, apprehended three Tajikistan women who had arrived from its capital Dushanbe, via Dubai by Air India flight AI 994.
During personal and baggage search of the three women, 1,787 grams of asserted gold jewellery concealed in innerwear, handbags, purse etc were recovered.
