Vistara's quick response on a 'horrible blunder' wins it many admirers

A flyer was trying to fill out personal details on Air Vistara's website when she found out that it did not allow her to use title "professor" with her gender. She promptly tweeted with a screenshot.

Her tweeted was immediately spotted by Vistara which promised to have it fixed, apologising that "we are embarrassed to see this."

"Thank you for pointing this out. This certainly is not done correctly, we will have it fixed. Apologies for this, we are embarrassed to see this," the tweet read.
Not only this, but a Vistara executive also tweeted in response saying that he was "mortified" to see it.

"I am mortified to see this. Apologies, and thanks for pointing this out. We will have it fixed!" Sanjiv Kapoor, Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer of the airline said.

The quick response by the Tata-SIA run airline won it many admirers with communications consultant Karthik hailing the airline.
"A horrible blunder, no doubt, from @airvistara but a very swift, effective comeback too (the choice of words by both Sanjiv, and the official handle, in particular), when you notice the brand wasn't tagged. Brands need to be on top of all kinds of brand mentions and hashtags," Karthik said.
