Adani Group airports biz CEO Sidharath Kapur resigns

Mumbai: Barely four months after joining the Adani Group's newly formed airport business, its CEO Sidharath Kapur has resigned, said a person in the know. Kapur had joined in the second half of April.
The resignation comes as the group is awaiting cabinet approval for three airport projects it had bid for and won. Adani has won six projects--Ahmedabad , Lucknow, Mangaluru, Trivandrum, Guwahati and Jaipur--and has received cabinet approval for the first three. The rest are awaiting nods.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's office has queried the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on rules governing the award of multiple airports to the same company.
Kapur formerly headed the airports business of GMR Infra. He joined GMR in 2009 as its president, airports business.
