Agartala-Delhi direct flight flagged off

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today flagged off the first direct flight service between Agartala and New Delhi this afternoon at MBB international airport here along with Lok Sabha MPs Pratima Bhowmik and Rebati Tripura.
Indigo has launched the service, which has been a long pending demand of the people of the state. As a result, one can reach Delhi within two and half hours. According to schedule, flight will start from Delhi at 1250 hrs and reach here at 1520 hrs and it will return at 1550 hrs and reach Delhi at 1830 hrs.
Earlier, there has a flight connected to Delhi via Kolkata but it takes more than three hours in single journey. Moreover, this flight starts early in the morning from Delhi, which creates inconvenience for the passengers to board. There was a evening flight via Kolkata to Delhi but Spicejet withdraw it’s service from the state.
