Air India waives rescheduling fees for flights to, from Hong Kong till August 16

New Delhi: With Hong Kong airport getting frequently closed due to ongoing pro-democracy protests, Air India (AI) has waived all re-issuance/re-booking/date change/no-show/cancellation charges for passengers booked on its flight to fly to and from that city upto Friday (August 16). AI is also offering a full refund to those who wish to cancel their tickets for travel to and from Hong Kong till Friday .

The Maharaja, like some other airlines, has cancelled its flights to and from Hong Kong till further notice. SpiceJet said its flights scheduled for Wednesday morning to and from Hong Kong were cancelled.
The HK International Airport (HKIA) said on its website that it “will implement flight rescheduling today (August 14) with flight movements expected to be affected. Passengers are reminded to pay attention to the latest flight information through the airport’s website... Please confirm the flights before heading to the airport. Passengers can also check with their airlines for the latest flight information.”
