Kolkat: On the occasion of 73rd Independence Day, Kaushik Bhattacharjee,
Airport Director, NSCBI Airport Kolkata, hoisted the tricolour in front of NSCBIA Operational
Building in the august presence of S P Yadav, Regional Executive Director,
AAI, Eastern Region, CISF, Airline representatives, senior AAI officials and other employees. After flag hoisting, Airport Director gave inaugural speech, in which he made everyone aware of the new plans to develop Kolkata Airport further and thanked everyone for their support in the progress of the Airport.
After this, Regional Executive Director elaborated the various projects undertaken by Kolkata Airport and other Airports of Eastern region like Bhubaneswar, Patna, Jharsuguda, Raipur, Port Blair etc. to improve upon the passenger amenities. The colourful cultural programme was presented by AAI employees their children and ladies of ‘Kalyanmayee’, the Women Welfare Association of AAI.
