Amritsar: Akal Takht officiating Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has asked the SGPC and the DSGMC to take up the matter of a "raagi" being subjected to excessive checking for carrying kirpan at the Delhi's domestic airport. A sikh preacher, Baldev Singh Wadala, was recently prevented from boarding a flight to Lucknow with a kirpan. Later, he had to take another flight. The Jathedar asked the officials concerned to tender an apology from the Sikh community.
