Soon, all SpiceJet flights will operate from Mumbai’s Terminal 2

Starting 1 October 2019, all SpiceJet flights to and from Mumbai will operate out of Terminal 2. For the past few months, SpiceJet, IndiGo and GoAir have been operating flights out of both Terminal 1 (also known as the domestic terminal), and the newer, swankier Terminal 2, or T2. This is a major cost overhead for both airlines, and a bit of a hassle for passengers, who have to double-check where they should head.

With the new change of terminal, SpiceJet will have all flights out of the same terminal. IndiGo, which has been trying to get all of the older Terminal 1 for itself, will now share it with some GoAir flights (except flight nos. 2000-2999), and TruJet.

Mumbai’s T2 will then handle international flights, plus all flights for SpiceJet, Vistara, Air India, AirAsia and some flights for IndiGo, GoAir.

Elsewhere, SpiceJet and IndiGo are also shifting terminals in Delhi from 5 September.
