Air Aisa, Go Air and Vistara keen to operate from Bhopal

Bhopal: Flight services from Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj airport is poised to take off to newer heights from December as three new airlines have evinced interest in starting operations. Go Air, Vistara and Air Asia are keen on starting operations from Bhopal by this year end.
A meeting will be held between state government and the representatives of the airlines by the end of this month to firm up plans to start operations.

After an impressive growth of 116% in aircraft movement and 107.6% in passengers’ in July 2019 compared to last year, private operators have started to look up to Bhopal.

“A meeting is proposed between government officials and executives of GoAir, Vistara and Air Asia by the end of September. We have invited them for both cargo as well passenger flight operations,” said Kalapana Shrivastava, commissioner Bhopal division.

She added that cargo operations from Bhopal will be also launched soon. “Air India, SpiceJet and IndiGo have already reserved their slots for cargo operations from Bhopal,” she said.
