Cabbies given 7K pocket cards to pass on flights info

New Delhi: For air travellers' convenience, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has issued 7,000 pocket cards with flights information available to taxi drivers to convey about the operations of certain flights. Notably, SpiceJet and IndiGo will shift their flight operations partially from the intervening night of September 4-5.

While airlines are conveying changes to passengers via emails and SMSs, DIAL is taking care of airside area with the placement of bilingual directional and informative signage at the strategic location.

Elaborating about preparations, DIAL official told The Pioneer the installation of MTV screens will display all flight operations. "We have trained our staff. The staff will be deployed and tell passengers about terminals corresponding to flights."   There will be shuttle services for the passengers in need.

 Indigo would shift a portion of its operations from T2 to T3, SpiceJet would shift all of its domestic flights, operating from T2, to T3. Post the shift, the SpiceJet flights- SG 8000 to SG 8999 and IndiGo flights -6E 5000 to 6E 5999 - would operate out of T3. IndiGo flights - 6E 2000 to 6E 2999 - will operate from T2.
