Fake sleuth held at Kolkata airport with tampered passport

Kolkata: A resident of Junagadh, Gujarat, who posed as a special officer of CID, was arrested at Kolkata airport on Wednesday after his passport was found to be tampered. Rohit Hasam Rajvani, 32, who hails from Amli Sheri in Junagarh, arrived from Bangkok on an AirAsia flight late on Tuesday.
While passing through immigration, an officer found two pages - 15 and 61 - in his passport had been tampered with. When he was questioned, Rajvani claimed he was a special officer of CID and that the two pages had Cambodian visas. While the name of the organisation appeared fake, Rajvani was unable to explain why he had removed the two visas. He was arrested following a complant by immigration officer Sk Sikander Islam.
