Make-up artist Billu Barber who helped Gujarati man impersonate 80-year-old arrested

Delhi: A make-up artist who helped a 32-year-old Gujarati man impersonate an 80-year-old was arrested this weekend. The make-up artist, who goes by the name of Billu Barber, was arrested after the Gujarati man revealed how a make-up artist from Patel Nagar in Delhi helped modify his appearance.

The 32-year-old Jayesh Patel was caught by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on September 9 at Delhi airport. Patel was caught for impersonating 80-year-old Amrik Singh in order to travel to New York, US.

During interrogation, Jayesh Patel revealed that a make-up artist in Patel Nagar had helped him modify his appearance in order to conceal his real identity.

The make-up artist, known as Billu Barber, was arrested on Sunday. Cosmetics and material used for dying hair colour into grey were recovered from his shop.

Accused Billu Barber's real name is Shamsher Singh and he is being interrogated by the police.
