Three booked for defrauding Ambala resident

Ambala: On the complaint of a resident of Ambala, the district police has registered a case in an alleged case of fraud by three representatives of a job providing website for committing fraud of Rs 73.9k on the pretext of providing job to him.
The accused have been identified as Dhanraj Gill, Vipul Goyal and Sumit Saxena and they have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Mahesh Nagar police station of Ambala district on Tuesday.
In his complaint, Chetan Sharma of New Colony in Sarasheri of Ambala district alleged, “After completing my B.Com in May 2018, I was looking for a suitable job and in January 2019, the accused gave an advertisement of job placement at their website while representing themselves as job providers. They impersonated themselves at the official agents of IngiGo Airlines and promised a job as accounts officer with the airlines. They promised a salary package of Rs 3.60 lakh per annum. In lieu of the registration process the accused obtained in total Rs 73,900 from me but they never provided any job in the said company.”
