Authority of India (AAI), Gangal’s promotion was cleared a couple of days ago and he will be given pan India responsibility at AAI corporate headquarters at Safdarjung Airport in New Delhi.
Gangal has been instrumental in providing sustainable growth to the city airport with passenger traffic growing 21 per cent during his two-and-half-year tenure as Ahmedabad airport director. After taking over Ahmedabad
airport, Gangal gave priority to cleanliness, providing good restrooms and adding the wow factor to the airport.
He introduced an electronic feedback system for washroom users which was well-received by passengers.
