Airport Authority of India hosts an Airport Promotion Conclave at Hotel Sahara Star

Airport Authority of India RHQ, Western Region, Mumbai hosted an Airport Promotion Conclave on 4TH and 5th October 2019 at Sahara Star Hotel, Mumbai. The event was attended by Member (Ops.) Regional Executive Director WR, Mumbai, Airport Directors of Western Region & Regional Headquarter Head of Departments, WR Mumbai, BCAS, DCGA, Air India, Indigo, Go Air, Vistara, Senior Officials of Government of MP & Maharashtra Airport Development Corporation.
On day one, Regional Executive Director, WR Shri G. Chandramauli gave his welcome address to the guests. He put special emphasize to work collectively with stakeholders to ban single-use plastic at Airports, install plastic crusher machines at prominent places and maximize non-aero services to passenger delight and make their journey more memorable. Further, he declared a dedicated ‘May I help you’ desk to be provided at Airports to facilitate Divyagjan passengers. At the outset, he appreciated all the Airport Directors about extracurricular activities conducted during the celebration of 150th Gandhi Jayanti at WR Airports and specially thanked APD Vadodara & Bhopal for their best display during Gandhi Jayanti.
RED gushed about the excellent services showcased by WR during the closure of neighbouring state Airspace. He admired all APDs for putting commendable efforts to normalize the impact of Cyclone Vayu without causing passenger disturbance. Considering safety and security is a real concern at Airport, RED suggested all the APDs work hand in hand with CISF and take care of their issues like accommodation, medical facilities in a best positive manner as well. Regular Fire drills to be conducted at Airports. He suggested all the APDs maintain punctuality in attending office and also to monitor attendance of all the officials posted at their airports with strictly monitoring of unauthorized absent cases.
