Jammu: As a part of Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Tuesday conducted a cleanliness awareness drive here at Jammu Airport. The focus of the drive was to spread awareness about importance of cleanliness among people residing in nearby areas of airport. Various stakeholders of Jammu Airport under the leadership of Officiating Airport Director, U K Singhal participated in the cleanliness drive.
Speaking on the occasion, Singhal emphasised upon the need for a neat and clean environment in and around airport. Entry and exit gates of the airport reflect the face and soul of the city, so keeping aforesaid areas free from garbage is pertinent, he added. Accordingly, all stakeholders were motivated to take part in this endeavour for improvement of environment at Jammu airport. Singhal further assured that all possible help to accomplish the objective shall be extended by the Airports Authority of India to all stakeholders.
