Bhubaneswar: Officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) today
detained two passengers at the Biju Patnaik International Airport on the charge of smuggling
cigarettes of foreign origin.
The DRI officials seized 400 packets of cigarettes worth Rs 12 lakh from their possession.
Sources said acting on a tip-off, the DRI officials intercepted the two businessmen from Kolkota
soon after they arrived at the Bhubaneswar airport from Kuala Lumpur by Air Asia flight and
seized the cigarettes.
