Hindon flights: Star Air to allow check-in bag of up to 15 kg

New Delhi: Star Air, which will start flights from Hindon on November 6, has clarified that it accepts free check-in baggage up to 15 kg.
Heritage Aviation, which will be the first to start commercial flights from Hindon on Friday, does not allow check-in baggage due to small size of aircraft it uses. Both airlines allow up to 7 kg of hand baggage.
“Star Air accepts a free check-in baggage up to 15 kg for each passenger. Excess of it will be charged per kg as per the rates prevailing from time to time,” the airline said.
According to Star Air’s website, one hand baggage allowed up to 7 kg includes laptop and excess hand baggage beyond 7 kg will cost Rs 300 extra per kg per sector.
Heritage plans to have six flights a week on Hindon-Pithoragarh sector from Friday using 9-seater Beechcraft King Air 350. It had won bids to operate two daily flights on this sector and may do so when the second aircraft joins the fleet in a month.
