IndiGo to launch service to Hyderabad from Oct 27

Trichy: Budget carrier IndiGo Air is to launch a daily flight to Hyderabad from October 27 to cater to the growing demand. It is already operating domestic services to Chennai and Bangalore while the Kochi service has been withdrawn for three months.

IndiGo Air sources told TOI that a direct flight (6E 7116 and 6E 7117) will be launched on the Hyderabad – Trichy – Hyderabad sector every day. It will depart from Hyderabad at 9.05 pm and arrive at Trichy international airport at 11.30 pm. It will return from here at 11.50 pm and reach Hyderabad at 2.10 am. Frequent flyers are now demanding that the airline start services to Delhi and Mumbai too which Jet Airways had operated earlier and withdrawn.

In the international sector, the airline has been operating daily service to Singapore since September 15 last year. However, due to some operational reasons, it has been suspended till October 26. Earlier, IndiGo had decided to withdraw both Kochi and Bangalore services for three months. The reason given for withdrawing the Kochi flight was the runway works being carried out at the airport there. However, following appeals from various quarters, the decision on withdrawing the Bangalore service was revoked.
